Day 5
...won't stay in Skagway! I was told (by someonone who should remain nameless, (Vanessa)) that I was soooo WT because I allowed all of my children (especially Brendon, a 17 year old with raging hormones) to be exposed to $5.00 for 15 minutes!
What do you think of Madame DeFlower?
During the Gold Rush the Red Onion Saloon was built in 1897 and opened for business in 1898. The Red Onion Saloon is now a National Historic Building. We were able to take a tour of the museum which is located upstairs from the saloon. On our tour of the museum we were able to see many displays of what the "working girl" would have or have not worn.
We did receive a souvenier from this fun little tour that will be a constant reminder to us, as parents, that we are ranked within the Class of WT!! So a friendly reminder to those who visit Skagway--DO NOT take your children; especially those with raging hormones to get this AWESOME souvenier!
White Pass & Yukon Route
While my family was walking the town of Skagway; Dad, Amy, Jason, Kendra and Talia were on a steam train similar to this one below taking a tour of the White Pass and Yukon Route. They were able to see miles and miles of breathtaking Alaska.
We were able to get one family pose for this day. Kelsey is absent from this picture because she thought we wouldn't do anything worth while. Worth while? I think it was and those of you that agree with the above mentioned and think we are WT--oh well, we had a BLAST!

silly girl, didn't she know it was the day to choose her vocation? how will she ever know if she would like to be a "working girl" now?
