My World of Wonder/Day 41

This morning I woke up still snuggled next to Gordon. It was 8:30 and it was nice to just lay there and talk. We talked about his day yesterday. The school district was having their meeting with all their teachers, even those who will be student teaching. Gordon, Brianna and her mom were sitting together talking about the job opening and when he should go talk with the Principle when . . .they saw the Principle of the Junior High get up to leave they both said,
"GO NOW! GO TALK WITH HIM!"
Gordon gathered all the energy he had and went and talked with him. To our dismay 140 applications, narrowed down 18 for interviews, with his not even considered. That's okay. As I look for the tender mercies of the Lord, I continue to marvel at how his hand is in the details of my life. Although this market is tough one, we have never worried that Gordon wouldn't find a job. Since this is what the Lord wants us to do, He will provide the way for it to happen.
The best part about this whole thing is . . . this gives him time . . .and who doesn't want more time?

I will go and do the things which the Lord hath commanded, for I know that the Lord giveth no commandments unto the children of men, save he shall prepare a way for them that they may accomplish the thing which he commandeth them” (1 Ne. 3:7)

Sorry you didn't get the best news. It really is tough out there. Best of luck.

It will come. You are doing the right things and doing what the Lord wants. You will be at the right time and place.
Prayers and hugs.

not to mention it gives him experience, right? more nerve to go after it when the opportunity arises again! that's a huge blessing. i don't know if gordon's even slightly like me, but i struggle sometimes thinking i don't want to burden someone, or that perhaps even when someone invites me to participate in something i often think they're just being cordial...ya know? i oftentimes second-guess myself right back into the coziness of my safe little keep-to-myself-bubble where i can't be in anyone's way & i can't be let down.

(maybe gordon doesn't have this at all, & maybe there's something wrong with me...hmmmm)

okay nevermind that all entirely!
good for him having time. =)
